The teaching of Ney

The Ney's teaching is done through the works of philology of classical Eastern music with the works of the Greek composers who lived in Istanbul, but also of all the ethnicities that offered this scholar kind of music.

Modal and rythmic improvisation is also taught on the various musical modes (macam, ichos of Byzantine music).

Finally, techniques are taught that characterize the various expression of the instrument , in the way of the Alevis, the Arabic or the Persian way.

At the same time, melodies of traditional music from all regions of Greece are taught.
