Kaval (Kavali)

The Kavali is a very old folk wind instrument (flute) used mainly in the Balkans.

Musicians use it in all kinds of our traditional music since it can play the sounds of all the regions of our country.

It is made of cherry (ntryán) or linden. It usually consists of three pieces that are connected with a mouthpiece made of horn or wood.

Sound straight and open, melodic lines lively and provocative. The liveliness of the Balkans through the warm sound of wood.
