Makam

Thiswork resulted in my attempt to organize the teaching material of the ney.
The content of this work concerns all the instruments whose way of expression passes through the melodic development of the makams.
The book consists of examples of the verbal musical tradition of the East with emphasis on Greek composers.
Below the examples are the scales created by the makam, which describe the successive melodic movements.
The book is divided into three parts: modes of the soft diatonic genus, modes of the color genus, modes of the hard diatonic genus.
The preface of the book describes in detail the tetrachord and pentachord subunits that compose the scales of the macams, the various times, table of names and abbreviations of the phonemes as well as the correspondence of the macams with the ichos of Byzantine music.
